SSWA Water Quality & Treatment

SSWA’s water is treated at the Cement Hill Water Treatment Plant. The Plant is a conventional treatment plant using coagulation, clarification, filtration and disinfection processes to produce up to 10 million gallons per day of potable (drinking) water.  It is located adjacent to the Putah South Canal – the source of the water from Lake Berryessa that the Plant treats – on the north side of Fairfield.

The plant and the distribution system are operated to keep the water up to the current standards. The water is regularly tested to ensure its quality.

SSWA produces an annual Water Quality Report that describes the standards and processes used to ensure quality water for SSWA customers.
